China, Hubei - Wuhan Tour (VI)

In October, Wuhan temperature is very high, we do not want too much sun, so arrive early Wuchang. When we came out from the Hubei Provincial Museum, the time is 11:00 am. The weather has been very hot, but our family’s old lady who was in high spirits. She would also like to visit the East Lake Park. We had to accompany her, but we chose to take the cable car with a tour together.

East Lake Scenic Area of Wuhan

West Lake in Hangzhou, China, which is delicate. China's Wuhan East Lake, it is forthright. They are like the lady with the warrior. They also seem to contrast the character of the two cities. When faced with the mighty lake, but also broaden my mind...

Wuhan East Lake, which is located east of Wuhan City, between the Second Ring and the Third Ring. It is China's largest city lake, its surface area is six times that of the West Lake in Hangzhou. Wuhan East Lake is divided into four areas: Tingtao area, Moshan scenic, Wild Goose scenic spots and Flute.

Four scenic spots have their own characteristics: Tingtao area is casual, Moshan area is flowers, Wild Goose area to watch the birds, Flute area to tour the mountain. Tingtao area which is very close to the city, is the most tourists go area.

In the lakeside stroll, in the woods to hike the mountains, it is the people of Wuhan's first choice for casual outing.

Tingtao area

Tingtao area, which is located in the northwestern shore of East Lake. It was the first open to the scenic East Lake. There are new within Tingtao scenic sand beach, is retreat of local residents. Annual Lantern Festival, also held large "Lake Lantern Festival" in Tingtao area.

Hubei Provincial Museum is in the Waterside area. Wuhan University, not far from here to about 15 minutes to reach by taxi.

Scenic Moshan

Moshan area, which is located in the southern shore of East Lake. Moshan area where there are several botanical gardens, landscaped variety, and the most famous is the cherry blossoms, lotus and plum (variety Flower Festival held every year). Moshan scenic Cherry Park, its cherry varieties and sizes are flourishing at Wuhan University.

There Chu culture tour center, the main attractions are: Chu City, Chutiantai, Zhubeiting and so on. 

From here you can take the 402 bus to reach Wuhan University and the Tingtao area.

 

Wild Goose Scenic

 
Wild Goose Scenic, which is located in the northeast shore of East Lake. It is a wetland. Its main feature is the lakeside wetlands, trees. Every winter, tens of thousands of cormorants gathered here from the north, and often geese, ducks, egrets flying up and down. Wild Goose Scenic where there Magpie Bridge, duck acacia and other artificial attractions.

Flute area

Flute area is located southeast of East Lake. It was converted from the previous from Ma'anshan Forest Park. Flute Mountain is located in East Lake. Flute’s forested area where you can climb and barbecue.

East Lake Scenic Area of Wuhan is too big, cannot all in one day tour. We spent half a day to visit Moshan scenic and Tingtao area.

Cruising boat ride in Lake, and is also a good way to explore the Lake.

Tips：

Tourists choose Tingtao area, you can visit Wuhan University and Hubei Provincial Museum on the same day. If it is cherry blossom time, you can go to watch the cherry blossoms in Moshan area, where you can watch a lot of cherry blossoms.

Wuchang Marshland

Wuchang marshland and beautiful, the atmosphere compared to Hankou, Wuchang marshland is decorated plain, simple facilities. It is very close from the Yellow Crane Tower. After we tour the Yellow Crane Tower, standing Wuchang marshland to wait billowing Yangtze spread to the edge of the sky. I have a feeling that very refreshing!

Marshland in Wuchang, we can look into the distance across the Hankou. Summer night, where the river winds blow, look at night, along the ladder down, go and Yangtze River to a close contact. There are many ferry boat can reach Hankou. Many people here fly a kite, point lanterns, spinning top or exercise, full breath of life.
