Germany, Hannover -- Herrenhauser Garten

We have also come to the end of the red line. We returned to the central station. Look at the time, we decided to buy a subway ticket to Herrenhauser Garten in Hannover. Hannover Central Station has a historic appearance. But its interior is very modern, very large. We found the ticket department, but cannot find the site. On the way to go Herrenhauser Garten in Hannover, we passed Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, referred to LUH, namely the University of Hannover. Hannover Herrenhauser Garten is one of Europe's most famous baroque gardens. In 1638 the Duke of Calenberg began construction this garden. Three centuries, the owner of the garden regime change, and therefore the garden has a large degree of renovation and expansion. In the mid-17th century, the garden is only half big as now. Until 1714, the then wife Sofia of Hannover, it turned into a Baroque style, and expanded to 50 hectares, which is today's size. History of private gardens to the end of 1936, the city government bought the garden and Hannover alterations. Today Herrenhauser Garten of Hannover, who has become a proud place, the annual summer fireworks festival and small festivals are held regularly in the garden.

Herrenhauser Garten's design is modeled on France's Versailles palace gardens, but Herrenhauser Garten where each the flowers strain among are in their pattern, type into a very neat geometry. Said Garden "Beautiful get suffocating" is not as much.

Herrenhauser is composed of four gardens, because of the time sort we went to the Grosser Garten and Berggarten. Grosser Garten is the most baroque style. We come to the great garden in late March, Some branches still is not leafy yet. I saw the white sculptures dot the meantime, I feel so loved this garden are gods.

When you buy a ticket will get a map. Structure square garden is easy to figure out. This is buying a small house. Tickets € 8.

Take the 4th or the 5th subway to Hanover Herrenhauser Garten, in Herrenhauser Markt station.






 

Summary: Herrenhauser Garten is very great. If you want to visit all the gardens, it may take a day. But it is still worth visiting.
