California, Los Angeles -- Travel Guide (I)

In the fall, we travel to the City of Angels - Los Angeles. At noon, we arrived at John Wayne Airport, Santa Ana, CA. We booked the hotel in Orange County, California. We rented a car, drive to start looking restaurants. After lunch, we drove to the hotel. Take a break, we began our trip in the City of Angels - Los Angeles.

Los Angeles attractions are scattered. Depending on the time spent in Los Angeles. We take away from our residence hotel recently attractions start. Disneyland is the first choice, we need only five minutes by car.

1. Disneyland Park in California

Disneyland Park in California it is located in California Anaheim Disneyland Resort, on July 17, 1955 with the opening of Disneyland in California and founded the world's first Disney theme park. Disneyland in California is known as The Happiest Place on Earth. Walt Disney with his childlike mentality, create like a fairy tale of the beautiful, strange, dreamy castleIf we look the castle in the night, it likes a paradise on earth.

2. Santa Monica

The next day, from our hotel in Orange County to Santa Monica, we drove about an hour. Santa Monica Named one of National Geographic’ s Top 10 Beach Cities in the World.

SantaMonica Pier, which is a symbol in Santa Monica. It was built in 1909-1916 between, is the West Coast's oldest pier.

Transportation to Santa Monica is very convenient. You can take the 434 MTA bus or take the 10th Big Blue Bus: time required for 50 minutes, but also take bus 3 Big Blue Bus at LA International Airport.



 
3.  The Getty Villa

From Santa Monica to the Getty Villa, just 5 minutes’ drive along the Pacific Coast Highway.

The Getty Villa Museum, which was built on the mountainside, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.








The Getty Villa is modeled after the Villa dei Papiri, a Romam country house in Herculaneum buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. Because most of the Villa dei papiro remains unexcavated, many of the Getty Villa's architectural details are based on elements drawn from other ancient Roman homes in the towns of Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Stabiae.

4. Malibu  

Left the Getty Villa Museum, we came to the Malibu, nineteen minutes by car along the CA-1 N / Pacific Coast Hwy. We also take a few minutes to walk the beach in Malibu.        
  
Malibu city established in 1991, is located in western Los Angeles County, population 12,000. It is south of the Santa Monica mountains. Its north of Pacific Ocean. It is the Chumash Indian tribe indigenous territory in history. Malibu, which is an Indian word meaning "sound of the roar of the beach."

Public transportation: 534 Bus takes 24 minutes from the Getty Villa to Malibu.

Left the Malibu, we drove onto CA-1 N / Pacific Coast Hwy, then go to I-10 E, then go to the 405 Highway in California. Not far away we can see the Santa Monica Mountains. A group of strange buildings in the mountains at an altitude of 881 feet cliff stands, which is famous for the Getty Center in Los Angeles (the Getty Center). It includes a very modern art museum, an art research center and a beautiful garden.
