Alabama Dauphin Island

In July of the sky, the sun is shining, blue skies, but no little clouds. The hot air temperature, stones have become hot. We drove 40 minutes to a small town, another history at Civil War, natural environment is very beautiful ---- Dauphin Island.

Go to the island on the road, unique cottage attracts us. Wooden pillars erected high above the house, is said to prevent flooding when the tide rose up. Dauphin Island is currently the resort. Periodically suffered hurricane, and lead to the disaster by stormy. But it does not affect the enthusiasm of tourists sailing the sea. Huge houseboat built in the sea. Who seems to summon boat ready to sail.

Dauphin Island retains more than 150 years of history of Mobile Bay Guardian --- The well-preserved ramparts of Fort Gaines have guarded the entrance to Mobile Bay. Now a fascinating historic site, the fort stands at the eastern tip of Dauphin Island, Alabama, where it commands panoramic views of the bay and Gulf of Mexico.
