United States, Arizona - Page City Travel Guide

Page, it is Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and etc. many tourist attractions to go through a town in Arizona. Each year, about 3 million tourists to Page. Horseshoe Bend

Lake Powell

Lake Powell, its name is in honor of America's first rafting this river and recommends the development of water conservancy pioneer. Its area is more than twice that of Lake Mead, there are all kinds of red sandstone, stone arches, canyons and square face blue, its scenic far better than Lake Mead, and the southwestern United States has become a major national holiday area.


Lake Powell is named by explorer John Wesley Powell, General. It is the second largest artificial lake. It is located in Utah and Colorado border. Lake Powell is one of the world's largest artificial lake. The lake covers an area of 65,000 hectares, 170 m deep, 300 km long, and has a 3500 kilometer-long coastline.

Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is one of the world's leading Slot canyon. Located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona, Antelope Canyon is the most-photographed slot canyon in the world.  

Here is the wild antelope habitat. Because in the canyon often appear wild antelope get named. Antelope Canyon on the terrain is divided into two separate parts, called the Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. Upper Antelope Canyon is on the ground, also known as "Crack"; Lower Antelope Canyon under the ground, then called the "Corkscrew."

Antelope Canyon on the Navajo Language called the "Tse bighanilini" (meaning "water through the rocks"). Because the valley is wide, and is located on the ground, it is part of the most tourists. To enter the Antelope Valley, because of the terrain, at the entrance to all visitors must take a large protected area of four-drive vehicles. Antelope Canyon entrance is not very clear, looked only a very thin crack from a distance. After entering the canyon, some places may be quite dark, there is no direct light onto the ground. Wall height of about 20 meters, with a total length of about 150 meters, photographers entering this area usually takes with tripod and flash. Because many tourists want to take a bunch of sunlight incident and no landscape, requires some patience.

Lower Antelope Canyon
Lower the Antelope Canyon Navajo Language called in the "Hasdeztwazi" (meaning "spiral rock arches shaped"). Each year, about nine months will not open. Tips

When only two hours travel photography qualifications, the best shooting time is noon, 12: 00-14: 00; if you enter from the exit, and the general group conflict will be smaller.
After mid-September, Lower Antelope Canyon’s scenery tends to produce the desired results.
