Tam Kung Miu

This temple, with a fine toll roof decorated with porcelain figures, is dedicated to Tam Kung, a Taoist god of seafarers. Beside his image, the temple contains a four feet long model of a dragon boat made from a whalebone, with a crew of wooden men in red robes and yellow hats.

There is also a dramatic mural of a tiger with club, big-eyed and orange striped, against a background of rocks and twisted pines.

There are two temples dedicated to Tin Hau in Coloane village. The larger, on Largo Tin Hau Miu has, at its entrance, a traditional fire engine, which had to be wheeled by hand. A short distance away, off Travessa da República, is a smaller temple, with some brilliant gilded carvings over the entrance and a moongate facing the sea.

In the city center of Coloane Fishing Village, next to the Chapel of St. Francis Xavier, once bustling Rua dos Negociantes, now a quiet street. Nearby Nga Tim coffee house, under the old banyan tree, we enjoy this quiet fishing village.

Along the Rua dos Negociantes, we see the traditional old shipyard of Macau, three Sheng Temple and Customs Wharf. We can also see some of the built along the water's hut, which is the residence of the boatman's.

Along the way to see the scenery and see high-rise buildings in downtown Macau, it is completely different. Tranquil and rural plain sight so that our hearts feel very calm. This is the most traditional of Macau's most natural scenery.

Macau is close to the sea, but are looking for a beach, to the "sea" is not easy. South of the Coloane Fishing Village, "black sand" is Macau's most famous beach. This is the most peaceful area of Macau. Almost all the Coloane Fishing Village bus can go to the black sand beach. It is half-moon waterfront, only strange is all black sand. Whenever the waves set off a layer of white spray, when the impact of black sand, black and white, very strange.

Of course, the famous Lord Stow's Bakery, on the streets in the R. Do Tassara. That fragrant tarts taste, smell the way already. Lord Stow's Bakery is a small shop, buyers from around the locals, Korean, Portuguese and us.
