I
walked around few times in Altstädter Straße, have not found the Chilehaus (English:
Chile House). You can think of Chilehaus, how deep it is hidden.
I
have to thanks the bad map, very rough guide. Let me in finding Chilehaus
building, saw this very interesting car, driving the car of a young man, he was
very brave of traveling on the bus route. This car is nothing more than a large
tricycle, added a lance material outside cover, but let tourists seem very
strange.

Built
in 1907 and designed by Albert heritage as the police station and the
Dienstgebaude Mansion machinations.
The
Mansion machinations managed the Hamburg gehorenden land areas.
The
architecture follows the example Alt-Hamburgischer Burger Hauser Baroque. The Sculptural
decoration, portal figures with fruits, cereals and fish, refers to the
provision of the building.

When
I finally found the Chilehaus building, I feel a little silly. This amazing
building, which was built in 1922--1924 years, the designer Fritz Heeg, its
architectural style of the early 20th century expressionism. Fritz Heeg
inspired by the boat through the waves of the ship across the sea.

Chilehaus,
the building like a ship traveling from west to east, between the red-brown
brick wall of a fan white windows prompt visitors that ship rooms. The building
has three balconies in the upper floors, it looks like the deck of a ship. The
eastern edge of the building, that is famous for unique, the shape of the
ship's bow. Curved wall at the south. Exactly coincides with the shape of the
bow.

This is a huge building, not a place to see it all in
the street. In a picture, you can see the eastern end of the building, it is
much like a ship's bow, while the top three tiered balcony like a boat deck. If
you are passing through Altstädter Straße, imagine completely ordinary,
nondescripts house in the end of the street, how it can be mistaken for the
boat?

1, Chilehaus (Chile house) looked like a bow from
