We left the
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, North Carolina, drove onto the Blue Ridge
Parkway southernmost. Blue Ridge Parkway in the eastern United States is a
famous scenic mountain route. It is along the Appalachian mountains of the Blue
Ridge Mountains and the construction of vehicular access, stretching from
northeast to southwest across Virginia and North Carolina. Blue Ridge Parkway
total length of 755 kilometers, along the rock cut into a total of 26 tunnels.
Blue Ridge Mountain access road is
1845 meters the highest point. Along with mountain scenery, forests, rivers, waterfalls, valleys, and
country hiking trails, and of course there are all kinds of museums.
Construction of roadside cabins are very
delicate, very beautiful. Here is
the cars on the road, but it also can ride a
bike hiking.

The Blue Ridge Parkway, which is in power at the time of President Franklin D. Roosevelt
during the Great Depression, a government project to
promote the economy, which
after 52 years to
complete (1935-1987). Since 1946,
each year, ranking the first place in the number
of visitors to the National Park in the United States! Although its total length of
469 miles (755 kilometers), extending from Virginia to North Carolina, but
the whole speed limit is only 25 ~ 45mph (very low) ..

Linn Cove Viaduct
This 1243-foot concrete segmental bridge on the
Blue Ridge Parkway snakes around the slopes of Grandfather Mountain in North
Carolina. It was completed in 1987.
Linville Falls
Linville Falls is probably the most
photographed waterfall in North Carolina. It is located on the Blue Ridge
Parkway near Milepost 316.4, about 66 miles north of Asheville.
Parkway Craft Center
Parkway
Craft Center - A shop of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, located in the
Moses Cone Manor, Milepost 294, represents 400 artists of the Southern
Appalachians on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Craft demonstrations offered from April
to November. Open daily March 15 to November 30, 9-5 daily. Closed
Thanksgiving.
