Montreal Old Town (Vieux-Montreal)

Montreal's old town is the most characteristic of the most representative places, with unique restaurants, stone road, carriage, so that the old city of Montreal must go to the place. The old city of Montreal, it is located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, three hundred years ago was a busy port here, now has become a tourist sightseeing. Walking around the French romantic cobbled street, surrounded by a century-old European architecture, free to drill into a cafe, holding a cup fragrant smell of hot coffee and then into the next handicraft shop, from the handicraft shop out and was dressed with flowers, sightseeing carriage to attract, horseshoe sound ringing gently sprinkle all the way ... ... like life has become a poem.

Notre-Dame Basilica (French: Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal)

The church is located at 110 Notre-Dame Street West, at the corner of Saint Sulpice Street. It is located next to the Saint-Sulpice Seminary and faces the Place d'Armes square.

Notre-Dame Basilica was built in 1829. It is the largest church in North America. It is said that the Notre-Dame Basilica was built with reference to the style of the Notre Dame de Paris in France, so people affectionately call it "little Notre Dame de Paris"". On the front of the Notre-Dame Basilica stands two tall, majestic towers, very much like Gothic castles. The middle part of the construction is a bit low, just above is a holy cross, beneath the gleaming Mary statue, Notre-Dame Basilica's door, it is a three fan pointed arched door, it is solemn and mysterious.

Old Port of Montreal

Down the slopes of Place Jacques-Cartier, it is the old Harbor of Montreal, which has a distinctive taste. The old port lies to the east of the old town, next to the St. Lawrence River. The old port used to be a leather goods and timber trading floor. There are many old buildings around it. They are very well preserved. Montreal now from a small bay into a vibrant city and trade center, the old port has become a local resident’s daily walk or party revelers in holiday, it is a must-see attraction for tourists.

Mount-Royal

I heard very long ago that the scenery is excellent on Mount-Royal. It is a pure land, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The view on the viewing platform is very wide. From the top of the mountain, the myriad views of the city of Montreal and the St. Lawrence River will be in full view. But as I stood on the viewing platform, the weather was late in Montreal. Mount-Royal has a charm at night.

Saint Joseph’s Oratory

Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal (French: Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal) is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine on Westmount Summit in Montreal, Quebec. It is Canada's largest church and the twenty-seventh largest church building in the world.

A small rain in early summer, dark blue sky was dark clouds enveloped, the mysterious and holy cloud of a church built on the mountain. Standing on the top platform, the city of Montreal looms over the clouds, the stars little bit, the wind blows rain on the face, very cool, very calm.

In the early years, there was a priest, who was named Andre who treated people with legs disease in this church. He has cured many people with disabilities, who have left their crutches here after being cured, so the church is filled with thousands of crutches. In order to remember Andre priest, people donated money to build the Saint Joseph's Oratory in Mount-Royal. It started in 1924 and completed in 1965.
