The miracle of human
architecture
In the southern city of Miami,
Florida, there is a strange coral castle, which is a coral boulder and built
the castle. It is a world-famous structure called Coral Castle. Though not
really a castle, it is not entirely true coral, but it is still a remarkable
achievement. More than 1,000 tons of sediment to be excavated and carved into a
variety of shapes, including walls, tables, chairs, a crescent-shaped moon,
fountains and a sundial.

Coral Castle is a famous
scenic spot in Miami, it was built in 1920. It was originally called Rock Gate
Park. Coral Castle by huge coral walls surrounded by eight feet high, wide ten
acres of land to protect it from the impact of urban expansion. In the absence
of the use of cement, coral wall is in an incredible accuracy together. This
technical achievement makes engineers and scientists alike. The building is difficult
to explain by scientists.

It is an engineering
marvel that has been compared with Stonehenge and the Great Pyramid in Egypt.
In 1984, The Coral Castle was placed in the National Register of Historical
Places.

Owner of the castle
Edward Leedskalnin, owner
of the castle is a legendary figure. In 1887 Edward Leedskalnin born in Latvia.
At the age of 26, he fell in love with 16-year-old Latvian girl Agnes Scuffs,
and sweet called her "Sweet Sixteen". In one day before their
wedding, she told Edward Leedskalnin she did not want to marry him because he
is too old.
Broken hearted, Edward
Leedskalnin decided to stay away from home, to the Americas to develop, it is
in the United States during Edward Leedskalnin decided to build a castle of
love with coral stone to
commemorate the lost love.

Edward Leedskalnin also

In December of 1951, Ed
became ill. He put a sign on the door saying "Going to the Hospital"
and took a bus to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Three days later he died
of cancer in his sleep at the age of 64, having never found another woman to
love after Sweet Sixteen.

When praise this
mysterious castle, all the people doubt. In the long 20 years, such a huge
voluminous construction works, just by a man he finished, really hard to
imagine. People questioned: no advanced modern lifting equipment, how he lifted
a piece weighing 9 tons of rock? It was a sigh and left thinking attractions!
