From Vancouver to Victoria need to take a ferry, about two hours sailing time. This way the scenery is very beautiful, if you're lucky you can still see the whales.

I do not know how many places called Victoria, and Victoria's name or relevant in the world. I have described is the capital of Vancouver, the British Columbia provincial capital of Victoria in Canada.

The capital of British Columbia, Victoria, it away from Canada land, on an island. It is said that in order and the United States to compete for land. Otherwise, the island will be allocated to the United States from geographically. In order to draw the line, there are many disputes in the United States and Canada border. Eventually, Victoria became the territory of Canada. Victoria City was founded in 1862. In 1871, it became the capital of British Columbia. Provincial council building was built in 1898, its architect Francis Mawson Rattenbury, only 25 years old.

The Empress Hotel like an ancient castle, which is located in the center of the most prosperous of Government Street, behind the Douglas St. This is Francis Mawson Rattenbury another masterpiece, like a distant fairy tale props.

It's stepping on the foot of a haven away, once James Bay. It is still facing the busy Inner Harbour. Over 25000 feet of logs were thrown into the river into the cornerstone, the vines cover most of its body, looks some quiet forest, I do not know how to make me think of "Butterfly Dream", especially in the evening from far and near to it. At this hotel has 108 years of history, the original construction took 4 years and cost $750 thousand. Designer, the famous architect Francis Mawson Rattenbury, this city has left many of his marks

Behind The Empress Hotel is Douglas St. Douglas St is the main street in Victoria. There are many banks and companies on both sides of the street. End of the road is Mile Zero. Across the entire Canadian Highway 1 from here. It is the whole over 8000 km through six time zones.

The starting point of a road, always walk on the road to a people, there is always a lot of wonderful reverie. It is the starting point is the end. That milestone, stand in a triangle of lawn, facing the sea, backed by the end of the street. Walk there, very tired, standing there, it seems finally returned home.

Government St in the direction along the north side, walked a few blocks is the most ancient Chinese town of Canada, perhaps the smallest one. It is only one street, a few hundred meters long. Located Fisgard St, between the Government St and Wharf St, as well as arch in the corner.

Between Pandora St and Fisgard St, that there is a narrowest street in Canada, it is Fan Tan Alley. It is the year of smuggling, trafficking in opium and gambling center. Built in 1909, the Chinese school close by, still functioning, professor of Chinese history and culture courses.

Sunset to the special late in Victoria, nine o'clock the sun was reluctant to withdraw from the horizon, the last afterglow left the harbor a weary serenity. And in the Harbour Inner of the dam, the night is just beginning, all kinds of artists to show their art.
