Every year from July to September is a good time to go
camping in Tobermory, Ontario. From Toronto to take the ON-410 N and ON-10 to
ON-6 N to the end, it is Tobermory town, which at the top of the Blues
Peninsula, a total of 3 hours 34 minutes, 296Km. On the south side of Tobermory
is Lake Huron, one of the Great Lakes on the US-Canada border. It is on the
north side of Georgian Bay, which is as big as Lake Ontario.
The top of the Bruce Peninsula is the town of
Tobermory. Little Tube is the main attraction in Tobermory town. In Little
Tube, we can dive and watch a sunken ship. We can also take a cruise tour of
the lake, or visit Flowerpot Island for Hiking and sightseeing. To protect and
show the natural landscape, the Canadian government established the Fathom Five
National Marine Park. White Fish, it is the local cuisine, but I do not love to
eat, the less flavor.
Due to the unique natural and cultural characteristics
of this area, Canada's first National Marine Park is built here. This is the
Fathom Five National Marine Park, which is very large, including the north and
east of the peninsula 20 islands. It has an area of 130 square kilometers of
water, an underwater depth of 200 meters of the ecosystem, and 21 historic
wreck wreckage in Georgian Bay, its cold, crystal clear waters, there are some
sunken ship from the shore only a few meters far. Because
of the clear water and the existence of these sunken ships, it provides an
excellent underwater terrain for people who love to dive.
In addition, because the Niagara fault is from the top
of the Bruce Peninsula into the Lake Huron, all part of the islands of the
Fathom Five National Marine Park, in fact, it is part of this large fault, some
like land, it has hard stone, there are over a thousand years of pine and
cypress are no one touched, and very beautiful.

Bruce Peninsula National Park Just is only a few steps
away from the beautiful town of Tobermory, there are 160 km of hiking trails,
forests, cedars and lakes. The Bruce Peninsula National Park is an ideal place for
hiking and canoeing. In this protected area we enjoy the beauty of the sunset,
and The Grotto's underground caves.
Flowerpot Island name comes from two huge
stones, they are like vases. The two rocks formed in the ice age of ancient
times, out of the water because of the tectonic plate movement. Rocks because
of the water at the bottom of scour, becomes slender, far look like a bronze
vase stands in the sea. On the island of original three "vase", but
one because the wind rain, already overburdened collapsed. According to the
other two, in the distant future will also be dismembered into nature stone
fragments. We see two vase weathering is very severe, may be several years
later, there is no vase in Flowerpot Island.
We have been traveling and vacationing for the Blues
Peninsula for five consecutive years. Every time we go to the Blues Peninsula
with different friends to have a different feel. But has remained unchanged is
the beautiful scenery of the local, and the three colors of the lake brought a
good mood. Because every time we go to have new discoveries, and the
accumulation of experience. Several times we went to the Blues Peninsula, are
the way to choose road trip, the first is our easy to move, the second we easily
arrange the time. The beginning of September to the Bruce Peninsula, the
weather is sunny, but the temperature is not so high, so cannot swim, but the
choice of diving visitors is still very much.
