Fredericton’s Old Government House was built in 1825, it is a sign of the city buildings.

This magnificent stone palace was built for the British Governor in 1825, and in 1853 the governor moved out of the house because of the government's refusal to take on the cost. In 20th Century most of the time, here is the Headquarters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). This is a great place to enjoy this magnificent river next to the walking path. At the top you can also through charity donations to a lighthouse (i.e. to Fredericton SPCA). Take photos and relax in a good place.

The green lighthouse, located in the center of the river bank of St. John's River, is located near the officers' Square. A prominent Frederic landmark for more than 20 years.
